MIAMI, FLORIDA, March 14, 2007 – Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name In Custom Installation ®, announced today the shipment of StageFront Home Theater Solutions™ – a new line of loudspeakers designed specifically for home theater applications, to Niles factory-authorized dealers worldwide. In creating StageFront Home Theater Solutions, Niles is invigorating home theater with the same passion and application-specific design that propelled the company to the top of the custom installation marketplace. StageFront has distinct benefits over traditional home theater loudspeakers, including features that help custom installers. The entire StageFront series includes both in-wall and cabinet models that are voice-matched to deliver consistent uniform sound quality, regardless of loudspeaker type. This frees custom installers to design systems incorporating some models that are built into cabinets or placed on stands, with others that are built into walls, optimizing performance, appearance and design flexibility. This is a feature unique to Niles, as no other brand on the market today offers voice-matched dedicated and in-wall home theater loudspeakers that can be mixed and matched. Other CI specific features include 12-Volt trigger activated bi-pole/di-pole switching, pivoting midrange/tweeter pods and resonance-controlling cabinets for predictably-precise imaging. The StageFront Home Theater Solutions loudspeaker lineup consists of six in-wall models and seven “Pro” series box models. All StageFront loudspeakers feature rugged construction with advanced technology drive elements and are designed for high-performance home theater applications – including both in-wall installations with a plasma display or free standing in a dedicated home theater. The line will be sold through Niles factory-authorized dealers only.

StageFront™ Home Theater Product Family Details:

StageFront In-Wall Loudspeakers include four LCR models and two dedicated Surround Effects loudspeakers. All feature a ported enclosure tuned specifically for maximum sensitivity, dynamics and high-fidelity sound in an in-wall application. All fit within a standard 2x4 stud-wall depth. A steel bezel permanently affixed to the baffle board enables drivers to be placed as far forward as possible and provides for maximum use of the air volume within the wall. Each loudspeaker is equipped with epoxy-coated flat-steel grilles using a magnetic attachment method and a captured toggle bolt mounting system with metal dogs for easy retrofit installation.

IW2550 LCR: An enclosed in-wall loudspeaker featuring 5" TCC woofers and a 1" Teteron tweeter in a D’Appolito array for controlled dispersion in a home theater application. Can be used as a left, center or right channel loudspeaker. Suitable for vertical or horizontal mounting. MSRP: $499.95 each

IW2650 LCR: An enclosed in-wall loudspeaker featuring dual 6" TCC woofers and a 1" Teteron tweeter in a D’Appolito array for controlled dispersion in a home theater application. IW650 FX: An enclosed in-wall special effects loudspeaker featuring a forward-firing 6" TCC woofer, 1" Teteron tweeter and dual 87 mm full-range TCC special effects drivers placed at opposing angles. Includes Dipole/Bipole switching via a front-mounted switch or 12V rear-mounted trigger input and an “effects” level control that adjusts the relative level of direct-radiating drivers to the special effects drivers. StageFront Pro speakers include four LCR models, two dedicated on-wall Surround Effects models and a high-performance box subwoofer. All feature sealed box construction for accurate extended low frequency response. Enclosures are constructed from 1" medium density fiberboard and are finished in gloss black with sculpted metal grilles. Box dimensions are specifically designed to match rack-mount cabinet width when the loudspeakers are placed vertically or horizontally.
