MIAMI, FLORIDA – February 13, 2008 – Niles
Audio Corporation, The First Name In Custom Installation®,
today announced that the company’s four new application-specific 8" Ceiling
Mount Loudspeakers are now shipping. All four models feature
an 8" integrated woofer/baffle design to provide rich, robust bass
response which is perfect for filling larger residential and commercial
areas with high fidelity sound. Each of the new 8" models incorporate
pivoting tweeters to provide precise dispersion of high frequencies
while allowing the flexibility to install the loudspeakers where they
look best. All CM Ceiling Mount Loudspeakers feature weather resistant
construction to accommodate installation in moist indoor areas like
showers and outdoor areas under eaves. Including these four new models,
custom installation professionals now have over thirty in-ceiling loudspeaker
solutions to choose from, covering virtually every system design requirement.
“With their integrated baffle/woofer design, Niles’ new
8" CM models pack powerful bass with a reduced outer diameter,
making them ideal for larger areas in residential and commercial installations,” said
Frank Sterns, president of Niles. “Because Niles CM Ceiling Mount
Loudspeakers are weather resistant, they are ideal for installation
in moist indoor areas like showers and outdoor areas under eaves.”
The new CM830, CM850 and CM860 two-way loudspeakers
with pivoting tweeters have a distinct and easy-to-describe feature/performance
upgrade path. They are sold in pairs and typically employed in distributed
audio systems to provide stereo sound in a room or for a zone of music.
The CM850Si stereo input model provides a high-quality solution for
installations where only one speaker can be used. Its woofer combines
the bass from the left and right channels while its bridge-mounted
stereo imaging tweeter array directs the high-frequency sounds from
both the left and right channels at opposing angles to preserve stereo
separation. All new 8" Ceiling Mount loudspeaker models are now
shipping to authorized Niles dealers.
